Casa C

Team: Santiago Martinez, Karol Gutierrez, Kenin Rodriguez

Client: Private

Casa C is conceived as an architecture that articulates domestic life, production, and a direct relationship with the natural environment. The project is structured around a clear architectural parti, composed of independent blocks that group public and private areas. These volumes are arranged along defined circulation axes, allowing for a precise functional reading of the ensemble and enabling a gradual transition between spaces with different levels of use and privacy.

The cloister functions as the heart of the project: a central open space, partially surrounded by galleries, which organizes circulation and encourages social interaction. This interior void not only structures the house but also strengthens the connection between architecture and landscape, integrating light, ventilation, and nature into everyday experience.

The incorporation of a greenhouse and productive gardens introduces a dimension of self-sufficiency and community value into the project. These spaces combine production and landscape, reinforcing the bond between people and nature while promoting social interaction and shared learning.

Curved roofs bring fluidity and character to the architectural ensemble, capturing natural light in a controlled manner and establishing a harmonious relationship with the surrounding landscape. Transparency becomes a fundamental design strategy, allowing for a continuous connection between interior and exterior, enhancing the sense of spaciousness, luminosity, and a direct relationship with the natural environment.

As a whole, Casa C proposes a sensitive and contemporary architecture in which living extends beyond the domestic realm to integrate productive, social, and environmental processes—creating a balance between intimacy, community, and landscape
